Anchored & Rising: Why I chose this name

The first reason why I chose this name is because my favorite bible verse is

Hebrews 6:19— “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.”

Other reasons for my blog name:

Anchored

• Meaning Jesus is my anchor

• “Anchored”— speaks both to my favorite bible verse and being rooted in faith, steady in storms (my fertility journey), and ultimately trusting in God

• This is the faith foundation of my blog

Rising

• Meaning growth and transformation

• “Rising”—speaks both to my healing process in TTC, becoming a mom, and teaching and raising my baby

Being “anchored” and yet “rising” is a juxtaposition but both words hold strong meaning to me and my journey thus a perfect fit for the name for my motherhood journey blog.

This blog was born from my journey as a first-time mamá—learning to grow into this new role while staying rooted in God’s truth. “Anchored" reminds me to stay grounded in faith no matter what life brings. “Rising” speaks to the new purpose, strength, and calling I’m stepping into as a mom and woman of God.

Here, I share encouragement, stories of motherhood, faith reflections, and baby tips—all with the hope of helping you feel seen, supported, and uplifted in your own journey.

I’ll also be sharing helpful tools and favorite finds that have made each step of this season—from pregnancy to newborn life—just a little smoother. If it’s been useful or comforting for me, I’ll pass it along to you!
