Confetti Canons

My big brother and sister in law, did this with their second baby. It’s such fun, high-energy way to share the news with intimate family and friends. The cutest part of this one was that the confetti was heart shaped.

Balloon Pop (Common)

Have the ultrasound place give a trusted person the results of the gender and then have them make us the big black balloon with pink or blue confetti

Piñata Smash

This is an intimate one as well, it’s sort of a twist on the kick/hit the ball for the reveal, but this one is perfect for any latino families or any couples who love candy. For this one you fill a piñata with colored candy or confetti and the couple breaks it to show the reveal of color. The piñata can also be made to fit your gender reveal party theme.

Smoke Bomb Reveal-

My cousin did this one and it was super cute, you get a smoke bomb and use it as a photo opportunity.

Cake or Cupcake Reveal-

My brother and sister in law did this one when revealing they were having twins. It’s such a cute and intimate reveal.

📸 Keepsake-Oriented Ideas

Canvas reveal-

Have you and your family place a thumb print on a canvas with a painted or printed tree while blindfolded (this is a symbol of your family tree) while the gender keeper makes sure the prints are coming out nicely. In the end the gender keeper reveals the canvas with the finished family tree as your big reveal.

Storybook Reveal-

(for an intimate couple reveal) gift your partner a children’s book with a note inside the cover that says: “Can’t wait for you to read this to our baby boy/girl,” then keep this book and make it a part of your baby’s library.

Outfit Reveal-

unwrap a baby outfit in pink or blue and hold it up for photos or create a video of you both unwrapping it.

✈️ Travel & Adventure Inspired Reveals

Destination Postcard Reveal- for the world traveler couple this would be perfect. When traveling to your favorite place collect some unique postcards, for the gender reveal hand to the postcards with the back saying “it’s a boy!” or “it’s a girl!”. Similar to the scratch off reveal guests open the postcard at the same time. It’s such a sweet and whimsical idea. Your family members can keep the postcard as a memento of this special moment and as a souvenir from the place you visited. Alternatively, the postcards can be mailed and have your family and friends find out without throwing a “party”

Vacation Gender Reveal- If you have a beach vacation planned you can use that as your moment to share the gender. A few things you can do is; write it’s a boy/girl on the sand and take pictures, wear/buy matching swimsuits for you and your partner in blue or pink, or get creative in the destination you are at.

Here are some examples of what to write:

  • Psalm 127:3 - We are overjoyed to share that God has blesses us with a sweet boy/girl.

  • Jeremiah 1:5 -God already knew our little' one’s name and story— and now we know too…it’s a boy/girl

  • 1 Samuel 1:27 - Our prayers have been answered in the sweetest way — we’re overjoyed to share that we’re having a baby girl/boy!

Prayer Candle Reveal- Light a white candle together and say a prayer of thanksgiving. Then, as the candle burns, it will reveal in pink or blue wax. This ties the reveal to light, hope, and God’s guidance to the parents.
