Connecting with God in the busy mama life:

Are you a first time mom or seasoned mom who is trying to figure out how to spend time with God while balancing, babies, chores, and wife life? Then I’m glad you found this post. I’m a first time mom and I found small simple ways to connect with God from the moment we brought our babygirl home.

Finding time to connect with God while taking care of your baby as a new mom or seasoned mom, a SAHM or a working mom can seem hard but it I’m here to tell you it is do-able. You cannot pour from an empty cup and need both rest (mommy self-care) and time in God’s presence. The word teaches us that intimacy with God is important re-read Psalms 91 the whole chapter is about why you should dwell in his presence.

The following are simple things I did as FTM to connect with God:

  • My husband and I made sure to pray and thank God during meal time.

  • We made it a routine to pray over our daughter each night before going to bed.

  • During night feedings, I would put my headphones on to either listen to upbeat worship music to keep me awake or listen to a chapter read aloud in the bible app

  • During the day I would play worship music while putting our baby to sleep or just throughout the day if I was feeling anxious

  • During showers, I’d play my praise and worship playlist below (I was recovering from a c-section so these took a while)
